Events

Activities are a daily event and our activities co-ordinator Judith along with the residents always come up with lots of great ideas. We are members of NAPA (National Association for Providers of Activities for Older People).

At least once a month we hold an ‘event’. This could be a trip out such as lunch at the pub, a boat trip, Christmas shopping or we have a ‘do’ at the home. We always celebrate Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Bonfire Night to name but a few and our Christmases are very busy and eventful and includes our celebratory Christmas lunch party. Concerts are organised and we always welcome the company of family and friends to all the events and trips out.

We have two monthly residents meetings and these are chaired by Judith and any concerns or issues raised are reported to the Manager for attention. The minutes are circulated to all the residents and are available to family and friends.

Our Newsletter is published four times a year and is full of information on what has happened and what is happening in the home.

Communion is scheduled monthly with both the Catholic and the Anglican churches. Dates are displayed in the main entrance.
